Yesterday, I missed two of my new habits - 10 minutes of dance and an effort at integrating the cats. So this morning, I put the 10 minutes of dance after the other (apart from the walk) exercise habits (yoga, meditation and plank) and boy did it feel good! I found a 10-minute dance playlist on Spotify (which I think was about 3 songs) and really went for it. I think I might make a little collection of my own 10-minute playlists for this purpose.
I thought it would be good to have the dance in the middle of the day to help me not sit at my desk for extended periods (by the way, didn’t use timers for work yesterday, but that was mostly because I had two meetings so they provided the breaks to the focused work and I did some good focused work during the in-between time). BUT… I didn’t fit in the dance. And I did the walk, but walked more than the 3000 steps because I extended it to pop to the Co-op and that really was too much and I didn’t manage to fit the dance in. I did dance a bit while cooking, but I do that normally and it wasn’t the focused dancing I wanted.
So, I’ll be keeping the dance in with the other morning bits for now. I feel that, because it felt sooooo good, that I might well start adding extra 10-minute dance sessions through the day, but will try not to do that until next week at least (I know that my biggest problem with exercise habits is that I try to do way too much too quickly and I am very determined not to do that this time.)
Also, trying to dig into the challenge of speedy drawings of people! I think it’s slightly better than the last one. Next time, I might try to get the pixel brush out and do a quick sketch and then colour - see if I can do that all in the 10 minutes!
