No idea why this took soooo long to draw. Well, I do. I kept zooming in and fixing lines. Which is really not the point of this exercise. I find getting the line I like with the vector brushes in Fresco is hit and miss - better for text than drawing. It’s probably one of those practise, practise, practise things, to be fair. So maybe I’ll try to do more line this week. The effect I want is to mimic me drawing on paper with my fountain pen. I can get that much better with the pixel brushes in Fresco, but I am all about making everything vector. That’s my thing. Or one of them.
Anyway… exercise! I really, really, really need to get an exercise routine in place. My hope is that, if I can stick to this daily drawing and writing practice taking 30 minutes tops, I will then be able to thread in some exercise.
Walking is one of my favourites, but I’ve lapsed loads over the last few months. I would really like to get back to 7500 steps a day (and increase it once I have). Maybe I should start by aiming for 3000 steps, though. And then increase that to 5000 and then 75000, etc etc,
I also love yoga but haven’t done any for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. Mostly, I think (but that’s probably just an excuse) because it’s a hassle moving the rug out of the way and putting the yoga mat down. If only I had a permanent space for the yoga mat, all would be well and I would do 15 minutes of yoga twice a day. But that’s literally never going to be possible in this house, so, I need to get over it and be fine with getting the mat out.
I also kind of fancy some dancercise of some kind. Aerobics, zumba, something like that. I love dancing about to loud music, so just need to make it a bit more organised.
What’s your go-to exercise? Do you manage to keep a good routine going? Any tips? My husband is very good at fitting exercise in - plays volleyball, lifts weights, walks, skips, does a boxing thing on one of the consoles… I am rubbish in comparison.

Hi Tasha,
Thank you for the share. I love to walk everyday but supplement my daily exercises with an online subscription with Ellen Barrett (https://www.ellenbarrett.com/). She has fused together all forms of different exercises into her own unique workout routines that range from 15 - 45 minutes. You can take whatever classes work at the moment for you. I clear a little space in my studio, break out my yoga mat, kick off my shoes (bare feet is what she believes in), and if needed, pick up a couple light handheld weights (2 or 3 lbs). She always offers a 7 day free trial on her website. I've been doing her workouts for 25 years! She adds a new one of workout once a month. If you have any questions, please let me know.
