Back to proper Morning Ink today. And the temperatures will be back to bearable by Monday, thankfully, so I won’t have to to deal with the dilemma of whether to go to my desk first. Most of my weekend work will be on my iPad, and so I can stay downstairs. But first I am going to go enjoy sitting outside for a bit while reading, before it gets too hot. And I’ll water thr plants.
This week I have mostly been listening to The First Woman by Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi and a bit of The Gendered Brain by Gina Rippon. And I finished reading The Hundred Secret Senses by Amy Tan and have started reading Cleopotra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors, which is giving me Nora Ephron vibes – particularly the painting a picture of people and depicting the bizarreness of social conversation.
