Yesterday evening, after a fairly long day at my desk (to be honest, it was probably a normal day to most people, but I’ve mostly been managing to stick close to 4 or 5 hours a day of publishing work over the last month or so, which meant that a 7.5-hour day felt long), I sat out on the bench and read for bit. I tried some zero alcohol fizzy wine I’d received in a snack box subscription and absolutely hated it. One glass and the rest of it was poured down the sink. And then I had a lovely meal of vegetable and tofu stir-fry with noodles, cooked by Chris. And a low alcohol beer.
And then at 8pm my agency announcement went out on Instagram.
And I opened a ‘proper’ fizzy wine (i.e. one with alcohol in it - I would really, really love to find a good low or zero alcohol fizzy wine) to celebrate and spent a couple of hours reading and replying to comments, while watching The Change on 4OD and doing some drawing on my iPad (decorative insects).
I think I’ll do a proper post about joining the agency, but need to check how much I can share (both art and processwise) before I do that.
I didn’t manage to get my library card renewed yesterday, so am really hoping to do so today, because I need to get back to Where the Crawdads Sing. Instead, this morning I listened to the rest of the available Archers episodes and then some podcasts – Andy J. Pizza’s Want to Quit Social Media? episode and then a short Waterstones podcast interview with Holly Jackson.
Today, I shall mostly be setting up online quizzes and colouring my decorative bugs. And going to the library, of course!
