Slept in until almost 8 am this morning, which is very rare for me.
I finished The Story of a New Name last night. I am nkt moving straight to the next one in the Neapolitan Series. I prefer to spread them out a bit.
I have a to be read pile on my desk, but Chris had left the book he recently finished on my bedside table, as I’d said I might like to read it. So I opened it up and read the first couple of sections and I think I’m committed now. So I will be reading A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth. It may take me a little while. Unusually for me, I know the story already, as I have listened to a BBC radio play of it, as well as watched the BBC TV adaptation. I usually insist on reading a book before seeing an adaptation of it.
I am also quite close to finishing listening to Where the Crawdads Sing. I think I’ll probably finish on Friday. So, then I'll decide whether to continue with Mansfield Park on Spotify or to stump up to Audible so I can try listening to My Brilliant Friend in Italian.
Need to get a decent chunk of work done today, so I can swan off to Bristol for the day tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing Moulin Rouge. Don’t think we’ll get much if a chance to do a lot else.
