Me and jamie are both ill again too. I Don't have memories of Jenny looking after me much when I was ill. I remember more of Papa looking after me . I do remember they would make me mashed potato and marmite which I loved when ill. And I remember bith of them comforting me when I had bad growing pains. Also lots of memories of jenny forcing me to have slippery elm which I can't stand
Sorry you're ill. Mashed potato and marmite sounds good. And yeuch, slippery elm was disgusting.
My biggest ill memory is of having dysentry after a week at a green festival, where the water supply got contaminated by the 'toilets' (they were giant holes in the ground, not actual toilets) and I was very delirious and Dr Baddeley actually came out to visit me, I was so ill. Although I think home visits weren't so unusual in those days.
Hope you feel better soon and that you haven't got what we have, which is neverending. I am starting to feel something close to human again, but even then I am still coughing lots amd getting a lot of headaches and feeling completely wiped after doing a very minimal amount of housework. Happy my brain is working again though, so I can work and read.
Glad you guys are little on.the mend. But sorry it is relentless , I've read about the 100 day cough that is going round, hope everyone will recover soon. I remember a few house visits from doctors when i was little too . Couldn't imagine house visits now
Thank you. They do still make some house visits – Jenny had some in her final days. But they were really quite common back then. There would normally be at least one GP on house visit duty every day and one on call at night, and the phone would divert to their home phone. I remember Dr Baddeley went private when the system was being changed because he wanted to continue to make house visits and give people 30-minute plus appointments, which he knew wouldn't be possible in the new system. Such a shame
Thank you. It has been a nasty virus and only just starting to feel a bit better. Hoping to feel well enough to write about something other than being ill tomorrow!

I hope you feel better quickly.
Thank you. Am actually only just starting to feel better now. It's been a long one and I think the cough is going to longer for a while still.
I'm happy you are starting to feel better. Taking care of yourself is the top priority and the cough is not an unusual lingering symptom.
Thank you.
You're certainly not alone. I also feel the same way
Wishing you well ♥️🥹
